Hubby News brings the news you choose together in one personal feed. This page explains which data we use for that, and what we don't do with it.
What we store
- Your email address, so we can send you sign-in links. There are no passwords.
- What you set up yourself: display name, places for weather and local news, the sources, topics, teams, stations and markets you follow, your language and the order of your filters.
- What you do in the app: which articles you see, open, save, share or give a thumbs up or down, and when you visit. This is used only to make your own feed better.
- Your chat questions and the AI answers, if you use chat or the AI actions on an article.
- If you turn on notifications: a technical address of your device to send them to.
Why
- To let you sign in, to fill and personalise your own news feed, and to send the notifications you asked for. We don't sell your data, don't show ads and don't share your data with advertisers.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase (database and sign-in, EU – Frankfurt) and DigitalOcean (the app, EU – Amsterdam).
- Resend, to send the sign-in email.
- OpenRouter and the AI model you use, only for the text you send to the AI (a question, or an article to summarise or translate).
- Weather, rain and market data are fetched with only a place or coordinates, never with your name or email.
- News, videos and podcasts come from the publishers' own public feeds. When you open an article, you go to the publisher's site, where their own privacy statement applies.
How long
- Articles are removed after 30 days unless you saved or liked them. Your account and settings stay until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time: email [email protected]. We delete your account and everything that belongs to it.
